Circle Magazine – Fall 2009: Sacred Chalices

July 29th, 2009 by Jhenah

I’m pleased to share that my article “The Chalice and the Grail” appears in the current issue of Circle Magazine, on newsstands now.  In it, I discuss the history of Chalice Well in addition to my own experiences with this transformational site. In 2000, I was privileged to have the opportunity — along with my sister journeyers on the first SOA Pilgrimage to the British Isles — to climb down into the emptied shaft of the Chalice Well; it was the practice of the Well Guardians at the time to reroute the waters of the Red Spring during the New Moon to allow the well to clear and cleanse. The experience of being in the Well chamber is one of my life’s defining moments, and in the article, I do my best to share some of the awe and beauty of that incredible journey into the heart of the Sacred Well.

I’d love to hear your feedback, should you read the piece.
