Looking Ahead to 2009

Pilgrimage to the Motherland: A Journey Through the Sacred Landscapes of the Avalonian Tradition

Early Summer - Dates TBA
  • Avalonian Training Intensives are sponsored by the Sisterhood of Avalon and have been presented around the United States since 1998. There are three levels of training, each building upon the next, presented in the spirit and communal environment of Ancient Avalon. These four day retreat experiences are filled with experiential workshops, ritual work, and intense trainings presented by Priestesses and Teachers in the Avalonian Tradition. For more information about these intensives or about the Sisterhood of Avalon, please visit: www.sisterhoodofavalon.org/offerings/intensives.html

  • Pilgrimage to the Motherland: A Journey Through the Sacred Landscapes of the Avalonian Tradition - On this eleven-day pilgrimage, we will explore both inner and outer landscapes as we balance conscious sightseeing with ritual, Imram and Avalonian workshops. We will spend eight days in Wales, visiting sites associated in literature and ancient folk memory with Ceridwen, Blodeuwedd, Rhiannon, Arianrhod and Branwen, and immersing ourselves in the energies of the sacred landscapes of the Avalonian tradition; and we will then travel to Glastonbury, Avalon of old, where we will spend the final three days of the pilgrimage visiting this "holiest erthe in Englande." We will spend time in experiential workshops, sharing in ritual amidst the sacred landscapes, drumming and chanting, and immersing ourselves in the spiritual energies of sites associated with the Goddesses of Avalon and the priestesses of old who are our foremothers. For more information about this Sacred Journey, or to request a detailed information packet, please visit: www.sisterhoodofavalon.org/offerings/pilgrimage.html. Our next Pilgrimage will take place in 2009.

  • Womongathering is an annual Festival of Womyn's Spirituality held in the Northeastern United States. This year's festival will be held from June 12 - 15, 2008 and will have some amazing workshops and presenters on a broad spectrum of topics including: dance, chant and movement; healing modalities; honoring women's wisdom; labyrinth work and connecting with the Goddess within. Jhenah is pleased to be facilitating a workshop at this year's festival:

The Three Cauldrons - An exploration of the ancient Celtic energy system and its relevence in the spiritual life of women today as a pathway to transformation, inner sovereignty, and connection with Goddess.
